Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a Safe and Secure Environment: Ensure the safety and security of our museum, its collections, and our visitors by actively patrolling the premises, monitoring CCTV cameras, and responding to emergencies.
  • Engage with Visitors: Provide a welcoming and informative experience for our visitors by answering questions, providing directions, and offering assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with our operations and administration team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the museum.
  • Maintain a High Level of Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stay Alert and Vigilant: Remain alert and vigilant at all times, monitoring the premises for any potential security threats or incidents.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and be an insurable driver.
  • Customer Service Experience: Strong background in a customer service, public-oriented environment.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly speak and understand the English language.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required, including checking email and navigating museum software/applications.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, climb stairs, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds unassisted.
Working Environment

The Protection Services Associate will work in a fast-paced museum environment, interacting with visitors, staff, and colleagues. The role requires a high level of physical activity, including standing, walking, and climbing stairs. The successful candidate will be able to work in a variety of environments, including galleries, public spaces, and outdoor areas.
