In a team-oriented approach, the Healthcare Support Specialist will assist Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients through various responsibilities, including but not limited to patient care coordination, organization, and communication. This role entails performing limited capacity x-rays for patients and conveying results to Medical Providers.

The Healthcare Support Specialist is tasked with executing all duties accurately, maintaining high standards of quality, and adhering to timelines while embodying our vision and mission to become the preferred urgent care partner by redefining value and accessibility to quality healthcare through: a seamless experience, a culture of care, and effective integration with our partners and communities. Job Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Medical Assisting Program preferred
  • Completion of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist Program required
Work Experience
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Experience in performing X-rays preferred
Certifications:

One of the following certifications is required (or must be obtained within 15 months of hire):
  1. CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health Career Association)
  2. CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants)
  3. RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists)
  4. NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
  5. NRCMA - Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
Additionally, CPOE certification for order entry is required within two weeks of start date and must be kept active in lieu of MA certification within the first 15 months of hire.

In lieu of an approved MA certification, we will also expect the following certifications at the time of hire:
  1. Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or LPN or RN
  2. EMT - Emergency Medical Technician (Verified through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians)
  3. CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
