Key Responsibilities:

As an International Trade Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our operational integrity by ensuring adherence to trade regulations and implementing trade initiatives that bolster our competitive edge. You will collaborate with a diverse team of dedicated professionals to deliver sustainable solutions that advance mobility and enhance quality of life.

This position involves close collaboration with various internal stakeholders, including trade compliance, master data center of excellence, supply chain departments, and IT.

What We Seek:

• Serve as the regulatory authority for a specific country within the region, analyzing and interpreting new regulations and advising on compliance strategies.

• Assist team members with inquiries and problem-solving related to import regulations and procedures.

• Lead self-assessments and internal audits, identifying and implementing necessary corrective actions.

• Oversee the annual regional free trade initiative, including preference analysis in the Global Trade Services (GTS) module of SAP, issuing certificates to stakeholders, and addressing inquiries.

• Analyze and review financial reports related to payments, month-end closing, and other periodic reporting, implementing automated solutions where feasible.

• Spearhead the execution of identified trade opportunities (e.g., duty drawback, bonded warehouses, duty suspension).

• Evaluate and release SAP holds for moderate to high complexity system controls, collaborating with IT and management on new SAP control implementations.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics/supply chain, or a related field.

• Experience in compliance, supply chain, or a related domain.

• Proven ability to process import shipments accurately and efficiently.

• Experience in conducting impact assessments and implementing straightforward solutions.

• Strong understanding of regional free trade agreement regulations, including the ability to read and interpret rules of origin.

• Familiarity with various analytical tools and techniques, including Lubrizol reporting tools.

• Capability to analyze audit-related information and assess compliance with regulations, identifying issues and root causes.

• In-depth knowledge of Lubrizol systems and trade networks, with a keen attention to detail and strong project management skills. APCIS CPIM certification or equivalent is preferred.

• Customs Broker License

• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
