Position Overview
The Senior Human Resources Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the HR executive remains informed and aligned on critical issues and topics that necessitate cross-functional collaboration and decision-making. This position oversees the departmental budget, performance metrics, and strategic objectives while managing vendor agreements to guarantee that measures, metrics, and outcomes are achieved. The role encompasses leading and managing initiatives and projects that align with the overarching goals and strategies of the HR department. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) by enabling prioritization and influence across various organizational levels.
- Grasping the leader's vision and intent, guiding other leaders to achieve and monitor the leader's objectives.
- Addressing and resolving issues through escalation, clearly articulating necessary actions to enhance team performance and accountability.
- Cultivating relationships within both direct and extended team members to serve as a knowledgeable and supportive resource.
- Leading special projects independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Assisting in interactions with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and collaborative partners.
- Facilitating effective communication between the executive office and other departments, in partnership with the leadership team, to ensure efficient information flow.
- Providing analysis and strategic recommendations to the HR leadership team regarding critical organizational issues and opportunities.
- Acting as a liaison between the Chief Human Resources Officer and other senior leaders to foster effective communication and collaboration.
- Preparing comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefings for the Chief Human Resources Officer.
- Promoting a culture of transparency and continuous improvement within the HR team.
- Offering leadership and mentorship to HR team members, encouraging professional development and growth.
- Coordinating team meetings, off-site events, and other activities to strengthen team cohesion and performance.
- Ensuring that team efforts align with overall HR objectives.
- Undertaking special projects and assignments as directed by leadership.
- Analyzing data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for HR strategies and initiatives.
- Staying informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in human resources.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in human resources, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity, with a preference for consulting experience.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, project management, and operational execution.
- A strong understanding of HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software and tools.
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $119.51 USD.
