Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Strategic Education, Inc. as a Professor of Information Systems and Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Information Systems and Technology, utilizing a pre-designed curriculum and incorporating professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
  • Enhance the curriculum using technology and multimedia resources to engage students and promote academic excellence.
  • Develop and maintain a positive learning environment, fostering a sense of community and supporting students' academic success.
  • Utilize online learning platforms to deliver instruction and facilitate student learning, ensuring timely and effective feedback.
  • Establish clear expectations and evaluation criteria, ensuring students understand their academic responsibilities and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and university administrators to ensure alignment with university policies and procedures.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and training sessions to stay current with best practices and university initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's and Terminal degree in Information Systems and Technology from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Teaching experience at the college level, with a preference for online teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of academic technology, including Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, colleagues, and university administrators.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong commitment to academic excellence, student success, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification.
  • Professional certification in discipline specialty, such as ISC2 SSCP or other ISC2 Certification.
  • Experience working in a hybrid or online learning environment.
