Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Role Summary:
SPA is in search of an IT Support Specialist to act as the primary liaison for our information systems user community. This role is integral to the Enterprise Operations team, specifically supporting the Operations Research and Cyber Analysis (ORCA) division. Key responsibilities include overseeing support requests, delivering technical assistance, managing software and hardware deployment, maintaining inventory, and troubleshooting various issues. We are looking for enthusiastic early-career professionals who are eager to learn and grow.

As an IT Support Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service and timely support to end users, acting as the primary contact for all IT-related issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving both hardware and software problems.
- Analyzing and diagnosing complex system and network faults, implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Deploying, repairing, testing, and tracking hardware and software, managing inventory, and performing updates and maintenance.
- Assisting with the installation, configuration, and upkeep of hardware and software, while documenting IT processes and standard operating procedures.
- Contributing to IT projects, system upgrades, software integrations, and new technology implementations.
- Coordinating with third-party vendors for effective support and service delivery.
Salary Information: Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Salaries are determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations. California Pay Transparency Range: $60,000 - $90,000
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience with 1-3 years in system building, computer provisioning, and familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows OS, and Linux.
- Experience with VMWare and virtualized environments, along with a basic understanding of routing and switching.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- US Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must possess and maintain DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Department of Defense (DoD) secure environments, including knowledge of relevant security protocols and compliance requirements.
- Certification or training in advanced IT topics to enhance existing skills and knowledge.
- Experience providing advanced helpdesk support, including troubleshooting complex technical issues and managing escalations in a high-demand environment.
