Project Coordinator - Multi-Family Construction

Our client, a prominent player in the commercial construction sector, is looking for a skilled Project Coordinator to support their Multi-Family Construction initiatives. The Project Coordinator will play a vital role in assisting the Project Manager with the organization, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Organization and Timeline Management:
    • Assist in the development of comprehensive project schedules, detailing key milestones and resource distribution.
    • Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to guarantee the timely provision of necessary materials and services.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Support the preparation and tracking of project budgets.
    • Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with financial plans.
  • Contract Management:
    • Review project contracts to ensure understanding and compliance with all stipulations.
    • Assist in the negotiation of contract terms with external partners.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee and evaluate work progress to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Promptly address any quality-related issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Assessment:
    • Identify potential project risks and formulate strategies for mitigation.
    • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations throughout the project.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with the project team, including architects, engineers, and construction personnel, to facilitate seamless project execution.
    • Ensure effective communication among stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain thorough project documentation, including change orders and project logs.
    • Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial construction project support.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, processes, and materials.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
