ROLE OVERVIEW

The Retail Operations Supervisor (ROS) plays a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager with the daily management of store activities. This individual is expected to exhibit leadership qualities that drive profitability, enhance sales, and elevate the customer service experience. The ROS will significantly contribute to the store's sales performance and will be evaluated based on the store's monthly sales objectives. This role involves assisting in the recruitment, training, and management of store associates to meet sales and profit targets. The ROS will set the standard for customer service excellence. While the Store Manager is present, the ROS will ensure that the store upholds superior visual presentation and cleanliness standards, adhering to operational guidelines and loss prevention protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Surpass individual productivity and sales targets.
  • Assist in achieving the store's overall productivity and sales goals.
  • Exemplify outstanding customer service by modeling desired behaviors and coaching staff to achieve similar results. Promote client development among team members.
  • Support the Store Manager in recruiting, training, motivating, and retaining skilled sales associates.
  • Assist in evaluating individual associate performance against established goals.
  • Help maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store cleanliness.
  • Execute daily opening and closing procedures, including paperwork reconciliation and other operational tasks.
  • Safeguard store assets and inventory, reporting any potential shrinkage to the Store Manager.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Manage client records and foster client relationships.

SKILLS, QUALITIES & BEHAVIORS

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in luxury retail management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of specialty retail, including business development, visual merchandising, and store operations.
  • Proficient in retail point of sale systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Capable of delegating responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey the company's goals and objectives.
  • A positive, energetic, and entrepreneurial personality with a strong sales focus and a commitment to the store's success.
  • A mentor and leader who nurtures staff development and identifies growth opportunities.
  • A skilled trainer in customer service, sales techniques, and operational procedures.
