Position Overview
The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily store functions while ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures. This position provides essential leadership, mentorship, and training to the store team under the guidance of the Store Manager. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Retail Operations Supervisor will take full responsibility for the store's operations. The goal is to consistently achieve and surpass established sales, service, and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of both employees and customers.
  • Foster an exceptional shopping experience for customers by maintaining and enhancing service level standards. Provide training and leadership to staff members and address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Oversee all Point of Sale (POS) transactions in compliance with company policies, including sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty programs.
  • Manage inventory control by adhering to policies regarding shipping and receiving, price management, and conducting physical inventories.
  • Ensure sales floor merchandising and visual presentation meet company standards, including merchandise placement and promotional signage.
  • Control payroll by following policies related to scheduling, budget compliance, and time and attendance tracking.
  • Develop and train direct reports by utilizing available training resources and consistently reinforcing operational standards.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to protect and manage company assets effectively.
  • Strive for a comprehensive understanding of daily operational management.

Essential Relationships
Interact with customers, sales associates, store management, district/regional managers, and training personnel.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess:
- An approved background check
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective managerial and organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills for customer and employee interactions
- Proficiency in visual merchandising
- Basic mathematical skills
- Knowledge of corporate and store operational policies
- A thorough understanding of store presentation standards.
