Position Overview
To guarantee a consistently remarkable shopping experience for customers while driving significant revenue and positive operational profitability for the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for sales and profitability performance within the designated store or department.
- Ensure that sales and margin objectives are achieved. Collaborate with the General Manager/Department Manager to formulate operating budgets and assess performance.
- Set individual sales targets for team members and oversee sales personnel to optimize sales and profitability outcomes.
- Maintain an inviting atmosphere that attracts customers and fosters loyalty by surpassing customer expectations. Mentor and coach staff to implement initiatives that uphold exceptional customer service standards.
- Provide ongoing feedback to Buyers and Planners to pinpoint items and merchandise categories with high sales and profit potential.
- Oversee the execution of visual merchandising strategies that enhance product presentation and uphold an in-store environment aligned with Polo Ralph Lauren's desired image and ethos.
- Responsible for achieving store shrinkage targets and for establishing and enforcing both new and existing loss prevention protocols.
- Oversee the recruitment, supervision, and development of team members. Actively recruit and create succession plans for current and future roles within the department. Develop programs to motivate staff to increase unit sales and transaction volume.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to direct the implementation of Polo Ralph Lauren's promotional strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with sales, marketing, and profitability objectives at the point of sale and in the broader marketplace.
- College Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in Retail Management, preferably within the luxury retail sector.
- Passion and capability to cultivate an environment that reflects a high level of taste and sophistication in line with Polo's lifestyle philosophy.
- Ability to guide individuals towards achieving goals through negotiation, teamwork, motivation, and staff development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
