Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all procurement activities for designated categories, which includes sourcing processes, cost management, proposal evaluation, negotiating favorable terms, awarding and executing contracts, managing current agreements, assessing supplier performance, and addressing invoice discrepancies related to pricing.
  • Maximize value for Atlas Copco in our contracts concerning cost, quality, delivery, and service standards.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive spend analyses for assigned categories/suppliers, identifying key drivers, trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Deliver timely and precise purchasing support to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Supplier Quality Assurance engineer to monitor supplier quality and with the logistics engineer to track delivery performance.
  • Conduct market analysis and report on conditions and trends that may impact the pricing, availability, or quality of procured goods.
  • Ensure suppliers align with our quality and logistical requirements, striving for mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Verify that suppliers adhere to Atlas Copco's business practices.
Accountability:

This role reports directly to the Sourcing Manager.

Qualifications:
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business/Applied Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement is required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with commodities such as metals, stampings, castings, paint, electronics, and wood is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in English with excellent communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience in sourcing from both domestic and international suppliers.
  • Exceptional analytical skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
