Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive, dynamic, and detail-oriented Associate Buyer to support our Supply Chain team in managing R&D procurement and overseeing production order tracking. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with Global Supply Managers and Engineers to guarantee the timely acquisition of components for R&D initiatives, enhance logistics timelines, and oversee cost management. This role necessitates building strong relationships across the organization and with both international and local suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Assistance: Generate purchase orders and place requests for custom mechanical components for specialized R&D projects as well as routine operations.
  • Cost Management & Supplier Relations: Take ownership of spend management and initiate cost-saving initiatives for custom mechanical components; uncover savings opportunities by fostering supplier relationships for general materials across various systems.
  • Order Coordination: Monitor delivery schedules for both local and international shipments to ensure timely material arrival for production.
  • Documentation and Record Management: Assist with document and purchase order management and updates; provide clear progress reporting through organized record-keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in using Excel for data organization and analysis with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding time-management abilities with a knack for prioritizing and multitasking.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management.
  • A self-motivated approach with the capability to tackle challenges and urgent requests creatively.
  • A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
