The Residential Support Specialist will offer continuous assistance, mentorship, and positive role modeling to individuals in our Developmental Services programs. This position is dedicated to fostering community engagement, self-advocacy, and personal development in areas such as social skills, personal responsibility, and independent living.

*We will cover the costs for you to obtain RBT certification for this role*

Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities both at home and in the community, promoting self-advocacy, decision-making, and empowerment.
  • Support individuals in planning and executing their daily schedules and routines.
  • Help individuals establish and pursue personalized goals and plans to address their unique needs and aspirations.
  • Encourage participation in community events and other inclusive activities.
  • Assist with household maintenance and perform cleaning duties as needed.
  • Document shift notes detailing relevant occurrences, observations, concerns, or progress.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience with the target population is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, judgment, and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • A commitment to thriving in a dynamic, client-focused, team-oriented environment.
  • A valid driver's license, access to a reliable and insured vehicle, and willingness to use it for client transportation.
  • Preferred candidates will demonstrate an understanding of and competence in serving diverse populations.
