The Residential Support Specialist will offer continuous assistance, mentorship, and role modeling to individuals in our Developmental Services programs. Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma/GED


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities both at home and in the community, fostering self-advocacy, decision-making, and empowerment.
  • Support individuals in creating and following daily schedules and routines.
  • Help individuals identify and establish personalized goals and plans to address their needs and aspirations.
  • Encourage active participation in community events and integrated activities.
  • Assist with household maintenance and perform cleaning duties as needed.
  • Document shift notes detailing occurrences, observations, concerns, or progress.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience with the target population is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, judgment, and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • A desire to thrive in a fast-paced, client-centered, team-oriented environment.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle for client transportation.
  • Preference for candidates with a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
