Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a dedicated individual to support the New Home Senior Project Manager in the modification and preparation of lots for new home installations. This position will primarily operate from the Hartford, CT area, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 60% to various communities in Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the New Home Senior Project Manager in preparing and securing home site surveys.
  • Conduct research on local home setback regulations (city and county).
  • Oversee and monitor the shipping, arrival, and installation of new homes.
  • Evaluate existing home sites to identify necessary site preparation.
  • Support communities in managing the receipt and setup of new homes, as well as vendor coordination.
  • Identify and negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and cost control.
  • Maintain a travel schedule of approximately 60%.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in project management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred; however, a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Familiarity with physical facilities, including construction and renovation processes.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities and the capacity to collaborate with personnel at all levels.
  • Capability to develop and negotiate proposals and contracts with vendors and project partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
