Project Management Support

As a Construction Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the project management team in delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include assisting in managing daily project operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with subcontractors. You will also be responsible for maintaining project documentation, such as contracts, change orders, and progress reports, ensuring that records are up-to-date and organized.

Communication and Coordination
As a point of contact between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and the internal project team, you will be responsible for streamlining communication and resolving issues promptly. You will also assist in managing and tracking project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets, and preparing reports on project performance.

Site Monitoring and Risk Management
You will regularly visit job sites to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and verify that safety regulations are being followed. You will also identify and escalate any risks or issues that could affect the project timeline, budget, or quality, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

Reporting and Analysis
You will prepare weekly project reports and assist the Project Manager in presenting project updates to senior management and clients. You will also assist in analyzing project performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance project delivery.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. ~2+ years of experience in construction, preferably in project coordination or assistant project management. ~ Familiarity with both commercial and residential construction processes is a plus. ~ Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar tools). ~ Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. ~ Knowledge of local building codes and construction regulations in Connecticut. ~ Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
