Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Representative to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the construction schedule, ensuring timely completion of the construction phase, and providing daily field presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction schedule and ensure timely completion of the construction phase
  • Provide daily field presence and manage documents and field office tasks
  • Notice contract noncompliance to project team and participate in bidding, pre-con, and construction process
  • Schedule and coordinate FF&E, IT & Move management and manage field coordination of testing agencies
  • Oversight of RFI and submittal process and maintain contingency logs and reviews certified Payrolls
  • Provide review and coordinates design team or other consultants' reviews of contractors' applications for payments
  • Provide daily updates of potential financial concerns and reviews proposed change orders
  • Track and monitors all work performed on time & material basis and handles on-site logistical and coordination discussions
  • Attends project meetings and schedules/coordinates owner consultant meetings
  • Participates and assists with Professional Development Training and participates in interviews upon request
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • 5+ years of construction expertise, preferably in Higher Education
  • OSHA-10 certification required
  • Solid understanding of building construction, field construction, including codes & safety requirements
  • Solid understanding of sequencing and scheduling
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Very good organizational skills
  • Must be able to work well with co-workers, clients, and contractors
  • Requires strong technical experience such as envelope, MEP, and/or FF&E
  • Very good computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet research
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions
