About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Superintendent to join our Project Delivery and Construction team in Somerset, New Jersey. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading construction site activities, including oversight of trade partners, and management of daily field operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead construction site activities, including oversight of trade partners, and management of daily field operations.
  • Oversight of work progress, subcontractor labor, and coordination between trades.
  • Ensure subcontractor and vendor work is completed safely and in compliance with the contract documents.
  • Collect and assemble on-site testing and inspection reports, and develop construction completion records for close-out documentation.
  • Make periodic site inspections, perform evaluations, and report to the project team.
  • Support in the development and maintenance of preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans; project scopes of work; budgets; and schedules.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the project budget for assigned trades and identify exceptions to the project budget throughout execution of the project.
  • Develop change control documentation as needed.
  • Ensure all submittals meet project requirements and are distributed, reviewed, and stored.
  • Conduct constructability reviews, evaluate vendor and subcontractor invoices, and evaluate requests for payment against the project schedule.
  • Provide daily reports of site conditions and review job safety analysis documentation.
  • Regularly interact with clients on site, listening to their needs, and positively demonstrating the IPS focus on client experience.
Requirements
  • Experience in a construction superintendent role on large projects with various trades.
  • Experience working on MEP systems, including process piping, mechanical systems, HVAC, and electrical equipment/distribution.
  • Experience working directly with clients on site.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical degree.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or animal health facilities.
