Position Overview


The Lead Financial Analyst in Procurement is responsible for developing financial models that support daily procurement operations, utilizing expertise in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Key Responsibilities:
Leverage accounting knowledge and advanced Excel capabilities to effectively convey financial data for strategic decision-making at senior management levels.


Collaborate with procurement category leaders and cross-functional teams to construct financial models and deliver analyses that facilitate daily procurement activities and special initiatives.

Develop, maintain, and enhance commodity models, investigate market trends, and provide analytical support to internal stakeholders.

Manage Material Master Maintenance

Oversee Standard Cost Maintenance

Administer Vendor Contracts and Info Records

Handle Contract Maintenance

Manage all other Purchasing-related documentation within SAP

Take ownership of crucial aspects of monthly financial reporting processes and close deliverables, along with periodic forecasting.


Capable of drafting clear, concise descriptions of complex issues, backed by thorough analysis and effective storytelling to engage and influence stakeholders.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the supported business and customer requirements.

Proactively analyze data and achieve consensus with all partners on pertinent issues.

Ensure timely entry and upkeep of purchasing-related information in SAP.

Continuously verify system data to maintain the integrity of all files requiring ownership of purchasing data (Purchasing and Costing files).

Provide reports and inquiries to Global Procurement staff regarding forecasting, inventory, historical purchases, claims, or any other relevant topics.


With the assistance of Senior Buyers, ensure seamless transitions during product changes, including introductions, deletions, or modifications to existing raw materials.

This must be executed promptly to guarantee that purchasing-related information is maintained and communicated swiftly and accurately.

Oversee all updates to price sheets based on information provided by Senior Buyers (SharePoint).

Act as the primary contact for Accounts Payable, responsible for providing immediate responses and confirmations regarding any invoice price discrepancies.

Accountable for the accumulation, verification, and entry of all Standard Costs in SAP.

Offer additional administrative support to the Procurement Finance Manager as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business (Finance or Accounting); MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

3 to 5 years of relevant financial experience; experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) and/or manufacturing is preferred.

Familiarity with SAP or other large ERP systems is advantageous.

Experience collaborating cross-functionally with other business teams is essential.

Finance or Accounting accreditation is preferred but not mandatory (e.g., CFA, CA, or CPA).

Essential Skills and Competencies:
Advanced proficiency in Excel is required. Familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, and a willingness to learn additional software applications.

Strong understanding of SAP (or other ERP systems).

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.

Solid organizational abilities.

Strong analytical capabilities.

Accounting knowledge and experience.

Able to identify and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision.

Work Environment:
Physical Demands – Primarily sedentary work, as the role is administrative in nature.

Visual/Sensory – This position requires a keen attention to detail, engaging one or two senses at a time.

Work Environment – Fast-paced setting, necessitating the ability to maintain focus under pressure.
