Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Assess patients under treatment for current side effects and instruct them on how to manage side effects
  • Coordinate patient care within the hospital and with physician offices
  • Participate in weekly quality assurance chart review
  • Coordinate and assist with brachytherapy procedures
  • Provide education to patients and families on wound care and other topics
  • Support patients and families, encouraging problem-solving skills and referring them to the Cancer Center Social Worker as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Current Virginia license or license pending results of State Board or compact license
  • One year of oncology nursing experience and two years of medical-surgical nursing
  • Preferred OCN certification
  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with current license as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Virginia
