Job SummaryThis is a PRN opportunity for a Registered Nurse with experience in radiation oncology or oncology. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide care for patients receiving various forms of radiation therapy. Your expertise and passion for creating positive patient interactions will be valued and recognized.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including education, assessment, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Monitor and record patient conditions, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
- 1 year of oncology or radiation oncology nursing experience in a clinic and/or acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
- Current certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
