About the Role:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical and emotional evaluations, to identify potential barriers to care.
  • Initiate referrals to external departments, such as social work, case management, and palliative care, as needed.
  • Coordinate patient care with external departments, including imaging, laboratory, and multidisciplinary clinics.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of DE; PA RN license may also be required.
  • Two years of nursing experience, with oncology experience preferred.
  • Advanced nursing degree or certification as an Oncology Nurse (OCN) by the Oncology Nursing Society is preferred.
  • BLS certification required and active at the time of hire.
