POSITION SUMMARY:

The individual will be accountable for overseeing the scope, deliverables, timeline, budget, and quality of new initiatives for Intermatic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

  • Develops and implements project work plans, adjusting as needed to accommodate evolving requirements in line with the internal New Product Development process.
  • Determines necessary resources and delegates responsibilities accordingly.
  • Monitors the progress of each project phase to ensure adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
  • Maintains a keen focus on timelines and details, demonstrating proven project management capabilities while managing multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Effectively utilizes NPD methodologies and upholds project standards.
  • Ensures that project documentation is comprehensive, precise, and properly archived.

The role involves cultivating and sustaining robust relationships with project team members, stakeholders, and senior management across Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Suppliers to secure the cross-functional collaboration essential for achieving successful project outcomes.

Responsible for preparing progress reports for project teams, sponsors, and executive leadership.

Must be adept at presenting project challenges and summaries to senior management.

Ensures that all stakeholders are recognized and engaged in scope definition activities, comprehending the program timeline and critical milestones.

Identifies and addresses project risks and issues, determining necessary corrective actions to ensure resolution.

Exhibits strong collaboration, brainstorming, and teamwork skills throughout assigned projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, with 7-10 years of experience in managing product development projects.
  • Outstanding communication skills and experience engaging with all levels of personnel and leadership.
  • Experience in the design and production of electromechanical and electronic products.
  • Familiarity with UL, CSA, and other regulatory agency standards and their implications for project management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Project or similar project management software (e.g., Smartsheets, Workfront, Clarity, etc.).
  • PMP Certification is advantageous.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced office setting.

Capable of multitasking and maintaining focus on various activities simultaneously.

Effective communication with all levels of management is essential.

Must meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Team-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

Availability to work in the office approximately three days a week.

Willingness to attend occasional meetings with suppliers outside of standard working hours.
