Position Overview

The Financial Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in liaising between operations and finance to guarantee accurate production planning, financial integrity of manufacturing expenses, and effective cash flow management. This dynamic role demands a proactive, results-oriented professional with a background in the Pharmaceutical sector, alongside expertise in project management and demand forecasting. A solid grasp of business priorities, supply agreements, and the alignment of manufacturing processes to ensure timely delivery of customer orders is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Operations leadership to strategize manufacturing activities and ensure the timely fulfillment of customer orders as the company expands into global markets.
  • Manage resources and coordinate team efforts to deliver products in accordance with plans, contractual commitments, and organizational objectives.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve production challenges, constraints, and risks effectively.
  • Prepare management updates comparing planned versus actual outcomes, highlighting any risks or delays along with proposed solutions.
  • Take initiative and accountability for assigned tasks, ensuring alignment across the organization.

Support Functions

  • Serve as the primary contact for Operations, Finance, and Executive teams, facilitating day-to-day information sharing and problem resolution.
  • Maintain bills of materials within the ERP system, ensuring accurate data entry of daily operational activities, including material issuance, consumption, and batch completion.
  • Develop demand plans to synchronize manufacturing and procurement with customer orders, advising management of any constraints promptly.
  • Oversee various third-party customer orders, adjusting quantities as necessary.
  • Assist in project planning, reporting, and effective communication across all departments, vendors, and customers.
  • Act as the liaison for all manufacturing operations among internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, procurement, and finance, as well as external vendors and customers, to foster excellent service and partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to facilitate success and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in business management or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience; project management experience is a plus.
  • Preferred proficiency with ERP systems, including Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Accounting modules, along with experience in maintaining project organization within an automated environment.
  • Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is essential.
  • Strong understanding of drug product manufacturing and commercialization; experience with biologics is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable in project management techniques and principles.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures is mandatory.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work flexible hours as needed and to thrive under pressure while meeting deadlines. Some travel may be necessary.
