Key Responsibilities- Financial Data Management: Accurately interpret and manage financial data related to court orders, ensuring the accuracy of all case-related financial information.
- Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to customers, responding to inquiries and resolving complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Payment Processing: Verify, accept, and process payments received from probationers, researching and resolving any discrepancies prior to posting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and verify daily financial reports, including reconciliations and bank deposits.
- Disbursement Management: Process daily disbursements to victims and weekly disbursements to court agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Case Management: Research, follow-up, and resolve all intake and case-related errors and inquiries from victims, department personnel, court officers, and other stakeholders.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with staff, public, and defendants/probationers, ensuring accurate and timely information exchange.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including filing, record-keeping, and data entry, to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
- Language Skills: Strong language mechanics, including grammar, sentence structure, spelling, and proofreading skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including ability to create documents and spreadsheets, and accurate typing skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with staff, public, and defendants/probationers.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with ability to accurately and efficiently manage financial data and perform administrative tasks.
This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer screen, with occasional ambulation throughout the office. The successful candidate will also be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation, lift files weighing up to 20 pounds, and use a telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis.
