Position Overview:

This role is designated for project-specific employment at our renewable energy site, anticipated to span several months. The position does not include relocation or per diem allowances.

The Administrative Support Specialist will provide essential payroll and clerical assistance, executing routine tasks under general oversight and established protocols. This role may involve regular interaction with clients, suppliers, or company personnel outside the immediate work area to facilitate information exchange. The position typically supports project or administrative assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts basic paper filing tasks
  • Manages incoming and outgoing mail
  • Facilitates document transmission via fax
  • Duplicates documents as required
  • Prepares files for long-term storage
  • Distributes various documents
  • Engages in scanning and electronic filing
  • Handles phone inquiries
  • Welcomes and directs visitors
  • Assembles documents through reproduction and collation
  • Performs fundamental word processing and data entry
  • Maintains simple spreadsheets
  • Orders necessary office supplies
  • Undertakes additional clerical duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Outlook
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills
  • Ability to concentrate and comprehend information
  • Attention to detail and reading comprehension
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity
  • Effective prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with time reporting systems
  • Basic knowledge of electronic repository systems

Minimum Qualifications:

No prior experience is necessary. All candidates must be able to fulfill pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include background checks and drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment:

This position is situated in a standard office environment, requiring extended periods of computer use. Tasks may involve stooping, crouching, talking, grasping, hearing, typing, and writing. The role may require the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
