Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate access for families to essential community resources.

2. Provide comprehensive support that includes:

  • Educational guidance on parenting techniques and child development.
  • Information on preventive health and safety measures.
  • Referrals to local resources that cater to the needs of the families served.
Qualifications:

1. Travel to family residences at times that best suit the families; mileage reimbursement is provided.

2. Organize and manage weekly appointments, home visits, documentation, data entry, and communication with families involved in the Healthy Families program.

3. Accurately record interactions in the Enlite database for Healthy Families Indiana.

4. Engage in weekly supervision, regular staff meetings, and ongoing training sessions.

Essential Requirements:

1. Experience in providing services to children and families, with a solid understanding of infant and child development.

2. Minimum of a High School Diploma.

3. Experience and a commitment to working with diverse cultural populations.

4. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation with insurance are mandatory.

5. Ability to pass all required background checks.

6. Proficiency in using computers and the internet.

7. Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.

8. Infant Mental Health endorsement is preferred, if available in the state.

9. Bilingual skills in Spanish are advantageous.
