Job Overview

HdL Companies is seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our proprietary software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of software programs and SQL scripts to identify bugs and defects.
  • Develop and execute a variety of tests to evaluate the quality of functionalities and aspects of our products.
  • Write and modify automation code or tools, and debug software for proprietary software programs, following design specifications.
  • Learn and create application forms and reports using Crystal Reports Designer.
  • Support QA Testers by developing testing plans and reviewing features and functionalities.
  • Document the testing process and submit it for review once completed.
  • Utilize source debuggers and visual development environments.
  • Enhance and improve existing reporting tools, features, and customized reports for internal or client use.
  • Construct database queries.

Requirements

  • Coding skills in a variety of language environments, such as C#, XML, HTML/JavaScript/CSS, and TSQL.
  • Able to make routine decisions regarding day-to-day procedures affecting own work.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and MS SQL database.
  • Applies intermediate debugging and testing skills to enhance test quality.
  • Analytical skills to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Makes moderately complex decisions regarding routine issues.
  • Capable of solving problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Applies knowledge to improve existing procedures, services, programs, or technologies.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience working in software QA testing.
