Clinical Faculty Member - Internal Medicine

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Clinical Faculty Member specializing in Internal Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join our esteemed institution.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy (PCOM-SOP) is committed to nurturing future leaders in pharmacy through a dynamic and interactive educational framework. We invite applications from enthusiastic candidates for a full-time Clinical Faculty Member position within the Department of Pharmacy Practice, focusing on Internal Medicine. The primary responsibility of this role is to establish a thriving clinical practice in inpatient Internal Medicine. Additional duties will include contributing to the practice site, engaging with the institution, and participating in research and scholarly activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and sustain a clinical practice site to deliver patient care and serve as a Preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.
2. Engage in didactic, laboratory, and small group instruction, as well as course coordination as designated by the Department Chair.
3. Act as a mentor and guide for students and fellow faculty members, supporting their academic and professional growth.
4. Participate in scholarly endeavors within the department and the broader institution.
5. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• PharmD - Must be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy school.
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Residency or Fellowship, or equivalent experience in the relevant specialty area (required).
• Active pharmacist license in Georgia or eligibility for licensure within a specified timeframe (required).

Desired Qualifications:
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-2 in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification (BCPS).

The salary range is based on PCOM's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
