- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and perform various administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Communication: Deliver quality customer service, maintain established quality control standards, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of medical supplies, order, receive, and return supplies as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in daily and monthly quality assurance reviews, including emergency kit checks and patient chart reviews.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistant certification program at time of hire (with certification) or within 180 days of employment.
- Certification: Medical Assistant certification (CMA) required; non-certified medical assistants will be eligible for the annual merit program.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively, knowledge of medical terminology, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull heavy objects using up to 100 pounds of force, stand for extended periods, and use fine motor skills to operate equipment and/or machinery.
