Key Responsibilities:

The District Sales Manager will oversee a designated Sales Territory within the Georgia and North Carolina markets. This role entails fostering and enhancing relationships, crafting and implementing a territory strategy that aligns with our overarching Company Sales Strategy. This includes identifying underserved clients and markets where our major Nucor Skyline product offerings are in demand. You will collaborate with the Regional Manager to establish milestones that focus on your professional development as well as the cultivation of profitable customer relationships and market insights, leading to a consistent influx of order inquiries. The following responsibilities will be critical for a successful transition of accounts and territory:


• Establishing and nurturing robust, long-term relationships with clients in the territory.

• Demonstrating the value Nucor brings to business opportunities with a collaborative service approach.

• Developing a sales pipeline with profitable orders. Key tasks include leveraging our supply chain and product offerings to generate inquiries, tracking these inquiries, converting them into orders, and collaborating with Supply Chain to source materials. You will provide comprehensive details about offers to ensure a seamless transition to our Project Management team upon order conversion.

• Managing the customer portfolio and orders to optimize sales volume, gross profit, and market share.

• Regular travel to engage with the customer base and strengthen relationships.

• Working closely with the Business Development team to transform early design opportunities into preferred quoting chances.

• Maintaining a high profile for Skyline Steel within the territory and supplying ongoing market intelligence to the Regional Manager regarding market dynamics, competition, and upcoming projects.

District Sales Managers are vital to the Skyline team. Successful candidates will possess a proven history of revenue growth, strong negotiation capabilities, and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

This position requires the individual to reside within the designated territory.

Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor; therefore, candidates must exhibit the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety protocols, practices, procedures, and cleanliness standards consistently.

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years of sales experience in the construction or steel sector, or 6 months of Inside Sales or Project Management experience at Nucor Skyline.

Preferred Qualifications:

Sales experience within the steel industry.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
