Key Responsibilities:

The District Sales Manager role encompasses overseeing a designated Sales Territory within Georgia and North Carolina. Your primary focus will be to foster and enhance relationships, devise and implement a territory strategy that aligns with our corporate sales objectives, and identify untapped customers and markets requiring steel from our major product lines. Milestones will be established in collaboration with the Regional Manager, emphasizing accountability for both personal development and the cultivation of profitable customer relationships, along with market insights that facilitate a consistent flow of order inquiries. Essential responsibilities and attributes for a successful transition of accounts and territory include, but are not limited to:


• Establishing and nurturing robust, long-term relationships with clients in the territory.

• Demonstrating the value Nucor brings to business opportunities with a collaborative service approach.

• Developing a sales pipeline with profitable orders. This includes leveraging our supply chain and product offerings to generate inquiries, tracking these inquiries to convert them into orders, collaborating with Supply Chain for material sourcing, and ensuring a seamless transition to our Project Management team upon order conversion.

• Managing the customer portfolio and orders to optimize sales volume, gross profit, and market share.

• Regular travel to engage with the customer base and strengthen relationships.

• Collaborating with the Business Development team to transform early design opportunities into preferred quoting chances.

• Maintaining a high profile for Skyline Steel within the territory and providing ongoing market intelligence to the Regional Manager regarding market dynamics, competitive landscape, and upcoming projects.

District Sales Managers play a vital role within the Skyline team. Ideal candidates will possess a proven history of revenue growth, strong negotiation capabilities, and exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

It is essential for candidates to reside within the designated territory.

Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor; thus, candidates must exhibit the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and cleanliness standards consistently.

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years of sales experience in the construction or steel sector, or 6 months of Inside Sales or Project Management experience at Nucor Skyline.

Preferred Qualifications:

Sales experience within the steel industry.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
