Key Responsibilities:
As a Property Claims Adjuster, you will utilize your expertise to manage claims related to accidental and weather-related damages for both residential and commercial properties. Your role will involve:
  • Conducting on-site evaluations and assessments of property damage
  • Collaborating with policyholders, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve claims efficiently
  • Providing exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
  • Documenting findings and preparing detailed reports to support the claims handling process
  • Investigating and adjusting claims with exposures up to $500,000
  • Evaluating coverage and policy terms to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Negotiating and settling claims within authorized limits

Work Environment:
This position primarily involves fieldwork, with opportunities for remote tasks. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as hours may vary based on business needs.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in property claims adjustment within the insurance sector
  • Strong understanding of property insurance policies and claims handling practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and navigating various environments for inspections. A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in managing complex claims and familiarity with construction practices are advantageous. Proficiency in claims management software is also preferred.
