Key Responsibilities

As a Property Field Inspection Claims Adjuster, you will leverage your expertise in managing accidental and weather-related claims for both residential and commercial properties.

In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for our clients, elucidating coverage details, assessing damages, and guiding them through the claims process while delivering exceptional service.


Work Environment:
This position is primarily field-based, with opportunities for remote work as needed.

Key Duties:
- Conduct thorough on-site evaluations and inspections of property damages for residential and commercial claims
- Collaborate effectively with policyholders, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve claims efficiently
- Provide outstanding customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism
- Collect necessary evidence, document findings, and prepare comprehensive reports to support the claims handling process
- Investigate and adjust claims with exposures up to $500,000
- Assess coverage and policy terms to validate claims and ensure compliance with local regulations
- Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, adhering to policy provisions and company guidelines

Flexibility in working hours is essential, as candidates may be required to work overtime or irregular hours based on business needs.


Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as a Property Field Inspection Claims Adjuster in the insurance sector
- Strong understanding of property insurance policies and claims handling practices
- Familiarity with residential and commercial construction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction
- Ability to handle challenging conversations with a customer-focused approach
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical capabilities
- Proficient in claims management software and relevant tools

Physical Requirements:

- Physical capability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, and climbing; ability to navigate roofs for inspections; and crawl in confined spaces
- A valid driver's license is mandatory

Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing complex or high-value claims
- Background in construction
- Knowledge of water mitigation inspection
- Familiarity with Xactimate and XactContents
