Job Summary

As a Technical Specialist - Application Support, you will be responsible for improving or authoring support documentation for current production apps based on Java, .Net, Coldfusion, DataStage, etc. You will create or update architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, disaster recovery plans, system support guides, and provide technical recommendations on simplifying or rationalizing the application landscape by reducing the different types of technologies leveraged.

Key Responsibilities

- Interact with the Support team on critical issue resolution and provide technical guidance where needed.
- Document business requirements for Caterpillar built applications in PROcure.
- Review and update existing production app system support guides.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science.
- Strong communication skills with IT, business partners, and end users.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide technical leadership as needed.

Preferred Skills

- .NET and Java programming skills.
- Experience with technical writing and documentation.

Working Conditions

- Must be able to go on-site in Peoria, IL once a week.
