Objective:

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in executing complex research and analytical projects, delivering essential financial insights and guidance to senior management to support the establishment and achievement of strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation and execution of the annual budget and quarterly forecast/capital plan updates.

- Engage in discussions with executives, business unit leaders, and cost center managers to uncover opportunities for enhancing business performance.

- Conduct independent research and analytical initiatives involving financial modeling and forecasting to furnish senior management with clear financial trend data and strategic advice.

- Assist in project design, perform Cost/Benefit Analysis, and develop financial business cases while potentially leading projects of moderate complexity. - Execute detailed financial analyses using sophisticated financial tools to illustrate various scenarios and activities. Build and maintain forecasting models/tools, collaborating with business units to deliver insightful analysis. - Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, leveraging resources and relationships across the organization to achieve project objectives, such as value realization in projects like Salesforce and Banking as a Service. - Ensure team success through shared responsibility for workload to meet departmental and project goals regarding volume, quality, and timeliness of outcomes. - Mentor junior team members, demonstrating the principles of excellence in every interaction with internal and external stakeholders. - Uphold high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and providing exceptional service in all aspects of work.

Qualifications – Education and Experience:

Required:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Prior Experience: 5+ years in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing roles

Preferred:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Prior Experience: 7+ years in a Financial Planning capacity within a Banking context

Competencies:
- Proficient in Planning and Reporting systems (Axiom).
- Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting principles with a solid business acumen and knowledge of the banking sector.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting positively and professionally with all levels of staff and management.

- Advanced understanding of financial statements, including key drivers and trends in major Balance Sheet and Income Statement items.

- Familiarity with internal controls, audit methodologies, core business processes, risks, and related exposures.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and present it clearly while providing actionable recommendations.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning and utilizing new banking, accounting, and reporting software applications.

- Advanced proficiency in systems/tools used for generating standard financial reports regularly.

Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required.

Work Schedule:
- May require occasional evening or weekend work.
