The SIE® is an introductory-level examination that encompasses fundamental investment principles essential for working in the financial industry, including various types of basic financial products, risk factors, and regulatory standards.
Our SIE® Scholar program enables you to investigate a career in financial services and kickstart your professional journey in the sector, all while being supported by a network of Fidelity leaders and resources. Please note that if you are accepted into Fidelity's SIE® Scholar program, you will not be employed by Fidelity and will not perform any work for the company.
What to Anticipate:
As a Fidelity SIE® Scholar, you will have the opportunity to prepare for and take the SIE® exam as we invest in your development:
- Fidelity will cover the costs of study materials and the exam fee for you to take the Securities Industry Essentials® Exam.
- You will have opportunities for engagement at various key milestones throughout the program and access to a personalized portal for study tools and Fidelity resources.
- Throughout the program, you will learn more about career opportunities at Fidelity, hear directly from associates and leaders, and experience the company culture firsthand.

Exposure: Gain insight into our corporate culture and the impact we have within our communities and regions.
Growth: From the outset of the program, receive the support and structure necessary to prepare for the SIE® exam and explore potential futures at Fidelity.

If accepted into Fidelity's SIE® Scholar program, you will not be employed by Fidelity and will not perform any work for the company. The program will provide you with resources to study for and take the SIE® while also allowing you to learn more about what a future career with Fidelity could entail if you choose to pursue one.
Company Overview:
Fidelity Investments is a privately held organization dedicated to enhancing the financial well-being of our clients. We assist individuals in investing and planning for their futures. We support companies and non-profit organizations in providing benefits to their employees. Additionally, we offer institutions and independent advisors investment and technology solutions to help manage their clients' assets.
Discover Your Potential:
At Fidelity, you will find countless opportunities to build a meaningful career that positively influences people's lives, including your own. You can take advantage of flexible benefits that support you throughout every stage of your career, empowering you to thrive both professionally and personally. Recognized with a Glassdoor Employees Choice Award, we have been acknowledged by our employees as a top workplace. A finance background is not a prerequisite for success at Fidelity—we provide a variety of learning opportunities to help you construct the career you have always envisioned.
At Fidelity, our objective is for most employees to work flexibly in a manner that balances personal and business needs, incorporating both onsite and offsite work through our "Dynamic Working" model. Most associates will have a hybrid schedule requiring them to work onsite at a Fidelity location for at least one week, five consecutive days, every four weeks. These requirements are subject to change.
Fidelity Investments is an equal opportunity employer. We believe that the most effective way to attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce is to cultivate a lasting culture of inclusion and belonging.
Fidelity will reasonably accommodate applicants with disabilities who require adjustments to participate in the application or interview process.
Values:
At Fidelity, we prioritize honesty, integrity, and the safety of our associates and clients within a highly regulated industry. Certain positions may necessitate candidates to undergo a preliminary credit check during the screening process. Candidates who receive a Fidelity offer will be required to undergo a background investigation and may be asked to provide additional documentation as requested. This investigation encompasses, but is not limited to, a review of criminal, civil litigations, regulatory compliance, employment history, education, and credit history (role dependent). These investigations will cover seven years or more of history, depending on the role. Where permitted by federal or state law, Fidelity will also conduct a pre-employment drug screening.
