Position Overview

As a Lead WordPress Solutions Architect at Rehab Media, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our web development initiatives. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and collaborate closely with the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of web developers, including junior developers, ensuring high standards of code quality and project delivery.
  • Project Management: Lead the development of web applications from initial concept through to final implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge of PHP and WordPress to create robust, scalable solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce best practices in coding and testing, including the development of unit, integration, and regression tests.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with various departments to initiate and manage projects as directed by senior leadership.
  • Website Maintenance: Monitor and maintain existing WordPress and non-WordPress sites to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in web development.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem, including Gutenberg, WP-REST-API, and WP-CLI.
  • Experience in developing WordPress themes, plugins, and custom solutions from the ground up.
  • Advanced skills in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with additional technologies such as NodeJS, React, TypeScript, and Docker is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of web server technologies and API integration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
  • A proactive attitude and a sense of humor are essential for this role.
