About the position of Senior Loss Prevention Associate

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reducing Theft & Fraud

  • Collaborates with Asset Loss Prevention Management (ALPM) and Risk Intelligence and Security Compliance (RISC) to analyze store and corporate reporting for potential external theft patterns and activities.
  • Observes store entrances, exits, and sales areas to detect suspicious behaviors indicative of theft.
  • Engages with customers displaying signs of intent to commit theft or fraud.
  • Recognizes theft indicators and leverages intelligence to confirm external theft occurrences.
  • Documents and submits evidence of theft incidents to ALPM and RISC.
  • With ALPM's consent, coordinates with law enforcement to address external theft matters.
Ensuring a Safe & Secure Environment
  • Works in partnership with local law enforcement to manage safety and security incidents.
  • Adheres to safe practices when interacting with customers and team members.
  • Notifies management of safety hazards and risks identified (e.g., obstructed emergency exits, blocked electrical panels).
  • Responsible for coordinating with law enforcement to issue and enforce trespass notices with prior approval.
Reducing Operational Loss
  • Informs management of operational weaknesses contributing to external theft (e.g., fitting room security, front-end operations).
Building Strong Teams & Collaborations
  • Regularly communicates and provides comprehensive incident reports to ALPM and RISC.
  • Fosters partnerships and collaborates with local law enforcement to resolve theft cases upon approval.
  • Engages with store leadership and operational partners through feedback, meetings, and store visits.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support Loss Prevention initiatives.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to engage effectively with internal and external partners, including law enforcement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Must comply with all relevant federal and state laws and regulations for security roles, including background checks and testing as required.
  • Ability to make sound judgments quickly.
  • Experience in loss prevention, security, or retail is preferred.
  • Current and valid security guard registration card is a plus.
  • Successful completion of Senior Loss Prevention training, if applicable, is advantageous.
