Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Associate to contribute to the Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities (BASC) initiative. This program aims to foster community-driven collaborations with municipal governments and local leaders to promote racial wealth equity and address climate-related challenges for marginalized populations. The Senior Associate will play a pivotal role in the BASC Content Learning and Strategy Support (CLASS) workstreams, providing strategic direction and operational support for learning communities and technical assistance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Collaborate with the Policy Director to implement a strategy for federal funding and technical assistance that integrates climate and racial equity considerations.
  • Program Development: Analyze federal funding opportunities to align with racial wealth equity objectives, and develop policy briefs to guide strategic investments.
  • Engagement and Training: Design and facilitate webinars and workshops focused on federal funding programs and equitable community partnerships.
  • Operational Management: Develop a strategic work plan for federal funding that maximizes benefits for cities, including monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Learning and Evaluation: Collect and analyze program data to inform leadership on outputs and impact, ensuring alignment with racial equity goals.
