Job Overview

In the role of Senior Program Manager, you will oversee the performance of one or several programs, focusing on innovative development initiatives and/or ongoing production efforts. This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of all program facets, from conception through to production and support. As a key interface with customers, you will leverage your business insight to make informed decisions that enhance customer satisfaction while ensuring timely and budget-compliant program execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate execution plans for both customer and internal programs, detailing schedules and cost estimates.
  • Implement programs adhering to defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards throughout their lifecycle, in accordance with internal processes and contractual commitments.
  • Identify and manage scope alterations, ensuring proper approval and execution.
  • Guarantee timely delivery of all required documentation and products.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity assessments, developing and executing mitigation strategies to avert negative impacts, while promptly escalating issues as necessary.
  • Detail resource requirements essential for the successful execution of programs.
  • Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), coordinating the development of proposals and associated documentation, including schedules, estimates, compliance matrices, and bid review materials.
  • Create statements of work (SOW) and manage subcontractor relationships as needed.
  • Provide regular program status updates to leadership, including reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and critical path metrics.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, developing and executing action plans to ensure satisfaction, including problem resolution and support.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Business Development to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged in decisions impacting their areas.
  • Manage customer expectations and maintain professional communication.

Worksite Location Options:

  • Preferred - Onsite: Hudson, NH (9/80 schedule)
  • Optional - Hybrid: 2 days onsite & WFH for the remainder of the week, based on business needs.
  • Remote: 100% WFH is not authorized for this role based on team requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with over 5 years of experience in Program/Project Management, particularly in the development or production of aerospace, defense, or space hardware.
  • Familiarity with government contracting practices, Earned Value Management (EVM), and standard program reporting metrics.
  • Proven experience leading technical projects within product development programs.
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense or Satellite Communications (SATCOM) sectors.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in program scheduling tools, such as MS Project.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain a DoD clearance if required (U.S. Citizens only).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Development and/or Production Program Management.
  • Program Management certification (PMP) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with documentation and collaboration tools, such as Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing programs in a multi-site matrix organization.
  • Experience with both Military and Commercial Programs.
  • Knowledge of Contract Management and Subcontract Management.
  • Understanding of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and Export Regulations.
  • Prior experience in external customer support/interface.
