Role Overview:

As a Sales Account Manager focused on Count, Class, and Speed solutions, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth within your assigned territory. Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers to cultivate a strong sales pipeline and meet established sales targets.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales objectives by implementing targeted account strategies and fostering relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue expansion within existing accounts while seeking new business prospects.
  • Formulate strategies for account engagement and sales forecasting, driving rapid growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the proposal team to prepare responses for RFIs and RFPs.
  • Develop and sustain influential relationships at governmental levels.
  • Showcase our product offerings to clients and share market insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Accurately log sales activities in the CRM system and provide regular sales forecasts.
  • Remain updated on competitive landscape, market dynamics, and regional developments.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, customer-oriented professional with a strong interest in transportation technology. You should possess a solid business acumen, proven experience in technical sales, and a comprehensive understanding of the transportation sector. Essential skills include strong negotiation capabilities, effective presentation skills, and a proactive mindset towards business development.

  • A Bachelor's degree and over 8 years of sales experience are preferred, along with familiarity with state Departments of Transportation and expertise in contract negotiations.
  • Success in prospecting, engaging with C-level executives, and managing the sales process is crucial.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and travel skills are vital for this position.
  • The role demands self-motivation and the ability to adapt to a changing market environment.
  • Geographical preference includes the US Mid Atlantic to Northeast region or the PacWest region (excluding California).
