Maintenance Operations Manager Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee the installation, setup, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and diagnose problems or malfunctions in machinery and equipment, and discuss with supervisors or other maintenance workers to determine the best course of action.
  • Dismantle and repair or replace defective parts, following proper safety protocols and procedures.
  • Use lock-out tag-out procedures to ensure safe working conditions when performing repairs, tests, or installations.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery parts to prevent wear and tear.
  • Perform electrical and troubleshooting tasks, including 480-volt electrical work and 110-volt control systems.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair and maintain physical structures, including counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
  • Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines, to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Assist in maintaining the internal PM system and working knowledge of anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems.

Physical Demands:

The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
