Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, grounds, and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities and Grounds Management: Oversee all aspects of facilities and grounds maintenance, including electrical and HVAC systems, plumbing, landscaping, snow removal, fountain operation, parking lot management, and housekeeping services.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage all vendor contracts and service agreements, including facilities and grounds services, equipment, and appliances.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Supervise the cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of buildings and grounds performed by contract workers and ensure compliance with contracts and service agreements.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Initiate and schedule preventative maintenance of company systems, equipment, vehicles, and appliances, as appropriate.
  • Inspections and Reporting: Inspect buildings and grounds daily for appearance standards, safety, fire hazards, upkeep, and maintenance needs, and verify proper operation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation units, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Customer Service: Respond timely and professionally to verbal and written requests from staff and tenants for upkeep, maintenance, repairs, event assistance, or other requests.
  • Problem Solving: Problem solve and troubleshoot facilities, grounds, and maintenance issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) or technical training are a plus
  • Experience: Five (5) + years of facilities management experience in progressively responsible related positions and experience in general electrical and plumbing required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook & Word) and general office equipment, experience in or ability to quickly learn accounting software for expense reporting, excellent verbal and written communications, customer service, and vendor relations skills and abilities.
