Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and engineering firms on multiple concurrent transportation initiatives.
  • Drive business development efforts, lead proposal preparations, and serve as the primary presenter in securing new project opportunities.
  • Expertly develop detailed scopes of work along with time and workforce estimates.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Navigate contract negotiations and manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Exhibit leadership capabilities while addressing complex technical issues and resource distribution.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of standard land surveying practices in North Carolina, capable of executing intricate assignments that require innovative techniques.
  • Lead and supervise project teams across various project sizes and complexities, ensuring thorough completion of all project facets, including client interactions, team communications, scheduling, budget monitoring, and accounts receivable collections.
  • Recognized as an industry authority, providing technical, design, and project management services to support the Geomatics business unit.
  • Engage actively in professional organizations, focusing on professional growth and mentoring of team members while maintaining a robust network within the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Valid North Carolina Survey License (RPLS) is mandatory.
  • 5-10 years of experience in transportation project management within Texas.
  • NCDOT precertification in survey-related work categories is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Geomatics field, coupled with exceptional leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • Experience in mobile scanning collection and processing is advantageous but not essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of consulting, including financial management, invoicing, project oversight, and personnel management.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation, Geopak, and Open Roads software.
  • Active participation in high-profile activities, representing the profession in matters of public or professional significance.
  • A valid TX driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle record, cleared background check, and negative drug test result are required.
