Position Summary:

Role Objective:

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our production capabilities for the HPDM product line. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in implementing new processes and improvements to meet the increasing demand for our products. This position requires a high level of initiative and accountability, as you will have considerable autonomy in managing the production of various components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design engineers to define production specifications.
  • Innovate and devise unique solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Design and Analysis:
  • Create manufacturing tools and fixtures using SolidWorks.
  • Investigate recurring manufacturing issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Work alongside design engineers to integrate manufacturing insights.
  • Conduct Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs) for assigned subsystems.
  • Production Validation and Integration:
  • Lead the initial application and testing of new fixtures and process enhancements.
  • Engage with production operations and assembly teams.
  • Develop and implement production documentation.
  • Commission and scale manufacturing processes to align with production targets.

Additional Duties:

  • Identify and mitigate workplace hazards while promoting safe practices.
  • Maintain production and testing equipment as required.
  • Source necessary hardware for manufacturing systems.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers to enhance and expand in-house manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience in assembling mechanical systems.
  • 5+ years of proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical drawings.
  • Expertise in GD&T and part inspection methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Deep understanding of engineering principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, and composites.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Quick learner with a strong emotional intelligence to foster collaboration.
  • Inquisitive nature driven by fundamental principles.
  • Access to controlled information is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing electric motors, inverters, or mechatronic systems.
  • Familiarity with PCBA and wiring harness production and sourcing.
  • Background in developing production automation solutions.
  • Experience in a startup environment.
