Manufacturing Engineers learn production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. They develop manufacturing engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and RMD systems and tools. MEs build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.

What You Will Do

Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team

Improve cycle time and lead time

Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring

Create and oversee improvement projects

Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes

Perform hardware defect analysis

Participate in corrective action investigations.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of (insert years of experience based on job level) years of prior relevant experience 

Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF)

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Preferably a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience troubleshooting electrical assemblies​

Experience with manufacturing

Experience/education with lean manufacturing

Experience/education with technical writing

Experience/education with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance analysis

Strong engineering aptitude and analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Technical problem solving

Active DOD Security Clearance

Experience/education with interpretation of technical documentation

Experience/education with project execution

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
