Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in Project Management for large-scale Enterprise Implementations.
  • 8 years of experience in State of Texas or comparable Federal/State Project Management.

  • 8 years of experience in managing and coordinating both business and technical teams.
  • 8 years of demonstrated presentation skills.
  • 8 years of problem-solving abilities and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • 8 years of knowledge in project management and software development methodologies.
  • 5 years of experience with the State of Texas Project Delivery Framework.
  • 3 years of holding a PMP Certification.
  • 2 years of experience with Salesforce.
  • 1 year of experience in State Procurement and Contracting.
  • 1 year of experience utilizing Jira and Project Portfolio Management tools.

Role Overview:

  • Responsible for managing specific projects within the organization. The Project Manager's role involves planning, budgeting, overseeing, and documenting all facets of the assigned project.
  • This position will oversee project management activities for a new Salesforce application, focusing on the Immunizations Consolidated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • The objective of this project is to develop a unified customer support tool enabling external users to create and track service tickets within a single application.
  • This role entails oversight of the project and its deliverables, including status reporting, issue tracking, risk management, budget monitoring, escalation to leadership, and resolution of issues and risks. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing design and development efforts.
  • Ensuring compliance with HHSC guidelines and procedures while developing project artifacts in line with the Texas Project Delivery Framework.
  • Managing the project using feature-driven Agile methodology, tracking development progress, and ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Creating and managing comprehensive project plans.
  • Documenting risks, issues, and contingency strategies; ensuring resolution of challenges and removal of project obstacles.
  • Providing regular status updates (both written and verbal) and conducting routine project team meetings.
  • Overseeing the development of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) artifacts, ensuring business requirements are translated into technical specifications, and guiding the SDLC process.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Exhibiting strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrating effective teamwork capabilities.
  • Transferring knowledge to current staff members.
