Position Summary:
The Commercial Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in executing the underwriting processes related to commercial credits. The individual will be responsible for drafting credit memorandums and supporting Commercial Relationship Managers, as well as assisting in the preparation of commercial loan packages for approval and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize financial spreading software to analyze and interpret financial data from statements or tax returns, preparing credit requests accordingly.
- Draft credit memos and financial ratio reports for submission to the relevant lending authority, including the Senior Loan Committee, for approval.
- Approve loans within the designated credit authority, identify potential risks, and assist in presenting credit packages.
- Provide support to Commercial Lending Teams and Relationship Managers as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the Loan Documentation team to ensure all due diligence is completed satisfactorily prior to loan closings.
- Assist in training new associates on system applications and proper underwriting practices.
- Travel to meet with customers and visit various WSFS locations as required.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent professional experience is essential.
- A solid background in finance and accounting is necessary to facilitate commercial loan underwriting and analysis, including the review and interpretation of client financial statements and tax returns.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in commercial credit underwriting, with a strong emphasis on reviewing personal and business financial statements.
- General knowledge of business and banking practices is required.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, are essential.
- The ability to think independently while collaborating with other professionals is crucial, as is the capacity to structure loan requests while adhering to the credit quality standards set by bank policy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
- A thorough understanding of applying Loan Policy to underwriting documentation is required.
