The Intermediate Associate Credit Analyst is an evolving professional position that combines specialized knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of industry norms and practices. The analyst applies analytical reasoning and is proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies, breaking down information in a structured and communicable way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes commercial credit underwriting expertise to evaluate and assess requests, primarily for larger exposure commercial clients.
  • Conducts manual analysis and decision-making for unsecured commercial credit requests from both new and existing clients, providing recommendations in line with credit department policies.
  • Takes ownership of resolving inquiries and issues with a warm, personalized approach, leveraging various resources and systems.
  • Performs financial evaluations and provides recommendations regarding new and existing credit exposures.
  • Assists clients seeking substantial lines of credit by analyzing their profiles, interpreting requests, identifying risk factors, conducting risk assessments, and summarizing findings in the processing system.
  • Ensures compliance with company and credit policies, auditing procedures, and departmental goals and standards.
  • Identifies and escalates opportunities for credit policy improvements through system testing and procedural reviews.
  • Maintains efficiency while ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of customer concerns and offers suitable options for resolution.
  • Expected to deliver high-quality service while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • The Credit Underwriter should exhibit empathy and maintain a respectful tone in all communications.
  • Ensures clients have a clear understanding of discussed resolutions and shares knowledge related to underwriting processes.
  • Meets all contractual and regulatory turnaround requirements.
  • Encourages teamwork and fosters a positive work environment.
  • Engages in special projects as directed by the Credit Manager or other management personnel.
  • Provides consistent and reliable feedback to management regarding operational challenges, issues, risks, and other relevant matters.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Evaluates risks associated with business decisions, demonstrating a commitment to the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to interpret commercial credit reports, analyze trade experiences, and utilize external financial resources for credit underwriting; demonstrated skills in consumer or commercial underwriting.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Salary Range: $76,000 - $106,370.00

In addition to salary, Citigroup's offerings may include discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
